Applications are invited for recruitment for the post of Gram Sevak and Gram Sevikas by the Department of Panchayat and Rural Development Assam. The total number of seats is 251 and is divided as 120 Gram Sevaks (Only male candidates) and 131 Gram Sevikas (Only female candidates).
Salary and other benefits for Gram sevaks or Gram sevikas recuritment(Assam)
The salary for the post of both Gram Sevaks and Gram Sevikas has been decided as-
Grade pay- Rs 2400/ per month
Pay scale is Rs 5200-20000/
The salary is according to band pay 2.
Educational qualifications for the post of Gram Sevaks and Gram Sevikas (Assam)
All graduates from any discipline from a recognised university are eligible to apply for the post. Also the candidate must be minimum 21 years of age and Maximum 38 years as on 1st January 2011.
Also only male candidates can apply for Gram sevaks and female candidates for Gram sevikas.
Selection procedure for Gram sevaks and Gram sevikas (Assam)
An examination will be held for the recruitment of Gram sevaks and Gram sevikas for the department of Panchayat & RD Assam. The examination will be conducted by the Panchayat & RD Assam. After the written exam, candidates will be shortlisted for personal interviews.
Format of exam for recruitment of Gram Sevaks and Gram Sevikas, Assam
The written exam will comprise of the following section-
The candidates can choose the language of question paper from- Bengali, Assamese and English. The exam will consist of only Multiple choice questions.
