The total number of vacant posts, as have already been mentioned above, is 279. The split up of posts is as given below:
1. Office Assistant (Multi Purpose) – 116 in which 07 for SC, 13 for ST, 31 for OBC and 65 for UR and out of which 03 for PWD and 12 for EXS – Salary of Rs. 12034 per month
2. Officer (JMG) Scale-I – 99 (SC-15, ST-07, OBC-26, and Gen-51) and 03 for PWD – Salary of Rs. 24164 per month
3. Officer (MMG) Scale-II (Information Technology, Law, Marketing, Agriculture, Treasury and General Banking) – 59 in which 08 for SC, 04 for ST, 15 for OBC and 32 for Gen – Salary of Rs. 32330 per month
4. Officer (MMG) Scale-III – 05 in which 01 for OBC and 04 for Gen – Salary of Rs. 42829 per month.
Educational Qualifications for AGVB recruitments 2012
For the first two posts listed above, the applicants got to have either a graduate or an equivalent degree from a recognised university or institution, with a compulsory proficiency in the Assamese language. For the the post of Officer (MMG) Scale-II, the applicants have to complete their bachelor degrees with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from any recognised university or institution. The candidates must have MBA and CA / MBA (Finance) degrees in order to apply for the posts of marketing officer and treasury manager respectively, with a minimum of one year's experience.
For Officer (MMG) Scale-III, the applicants must complete their bachelor degrees in any subject from any recognised university with at least 50% marks in aggregate, and must have a minimal experience of five years as a bank officer or an officer in some financial institution.
The age limit of AGVB officer recruitments 2012 is as given below:
1. Office Assistant (Multi Purpose) – not less than 18 years and not more than 28 years.
2. Officer (JMG) Scale-I - same as above.
3. Officer (MMG) Scale-II - not less than 21 years of age and not more than 32 years.
4. Officer (MMG) Scale-III - not more than 40 years.
