About the Natural Beauty of Assam

Assam is situated in the northeastern part of India. The river Barak and Brahmaputra which is running from east to west is the life line of Assam. Lakes and ponds reflect the changing,colors of the sky. Assam and North-East India are known for its natural beauty. Main attraction in Assam is essentially nature based; therefore, national parks, wild life sanctuaries, rivers, lakes, hot water springs and thick wooded forest.

Kaziranga National Park, Manas National Park, Kamakhya Devi Temple, Nabagraha Temple, Umananda Temple, Basisthashram, Madan Kamdev, Haflong Poa-Mecca, Da-Parbatia, Agnigarh, Asvakranta Temple, Ugra Tara Temple, Doul Govinda Temple are the major tourist attractions in Assam. Assam attracts a large number of nature lovers and animal lover to see colorful wildlife in their natural habitat.

Assam is one of the richest biodiversity zones in the world and consists of tropical rain forests, deciduous forests, riverine grasslands, bamboo orchards and numerous wetland ecosystems;The wild animals are living in Forest Area of Kaziranga under the protection of the Govt.
