Vishnu Temple is about 350 years old temple which was built during Ahom kingdom. It is spread over an area of three acres. As the name suggests, Vishnu Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Although the doors of Vishnu Temple are opened round the year, but the visit of Vishnu Temple during Badha (बड़ा) month of Panchaang is highly recognized.

Vishnu Temple of Sibsagar follows the trend of Vaishnavism. It can be clearly seen as there is no statue or sculpture of any God established in the temple. Sacred 'Namghosha' of Srimanta Sankardeva and other holy books of Vaishnavism are placed inside the premises of the temple.
