Professional career of Mousumi Sahariya as a singer

Assamese singer Mousumi Sahariya has started her musical career very early in her life. Her first Assamese album 'fagunar Seshote'. And now she has 60 odd Assamese song albums to her credit.

The Mousumi series by Mousumi Sahariya was very much popular with Assamese audience. In fact her first solo album Tumi Mousumi was sold over 100,000 copies They are

Tumi Mousumi, Moi Mousumi, Mon Nache Ulaahot, Jauban, all were accepted so well by Assamese audience. She has given her voice to many Assamese films too. Rongmon, Nache Nache Lage Mon, Hiyar Morom and Devi Mantra,etc were all super hits along with the all time hit Assamese album Kokalore Gagori. She has sung along with Star Indian singers like Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu, Zubeen Garg.

Mousumi Has won several award from Door Darshan and participated in hit Musical shows of Guwahati Doodarshan and other Assamese TV channels.

Mousumi Sahariya has rendered her voice to some classic golden Assamese songs of Bhupen Hazarika in her solo Album Akashi Ganga. According to Dr Bhupen Hazarika Mousumi has sung his songs better than any other singer. This inspired her to release her next Assamese song album of Bhupen Hazarika's song " Manuhe Manuhar Babe". Needless to say that this too was very much popular.

Mousumi Sahariya is one of the best Assamese singer among the present generation singers of Assam who has both quality and mass appeal.
