New Weekly Special Express Train Between Dibrugarh and Siliguri

Northeast Frontier Railway is going to introduce a new weekly express train between Dibrugarh and Siliguri. This special express train (No. 5942A / 5941A) will run from 19th September 2010. The route for the train is via New Tinsukia-Goalpara Town - Alipurduar Jn.

The train No. 5942A will run from Dibrugarh on every Sunday for the period 19th September 2010 to 26th December 2010. The departure time at Dibrugarh station is 19.00 hrs on Sunday and the arrival time of the train at Siliguri station is 13.45 hrs on Monday.

On the opposite direction, the train No. 5941A will run from Siliguri on every Monday for the period 20th September 2010 to 27th December 2010. The departure time at Siliguri station is 20.00 hrs on Monday and the arrival time of the train at Dibrugarh station is 17.45 hrs on Tuesday.

The stoppages of the train in between Dibrugarh and Siliguri are New Tinsukia, Naharkatia, Simlaguri, Mariani, Titabar, Furkating, Dimapur, Diphu, Lumding, Hojai, Chaparmukh, Jagiroad, Guawahati, Kamakhya, Boko, Goalpara Town, Abhayapuri, New Bongaigaon, Kokrajhar, Alipurduar Jn., Hasimara, Dalgaon, and New Mal Jn.

The train is composed of one AC-2 tier, one AC-3 tier, seven Sleeper Class, four General Second Class coaches with one Pantry Car and two Luggage Van. Ticket booking is open for the train.
