About:
When Jatin Goswami was just 7 years old he started ,learning Satriya Dance. Jatin Goswami learned Satriya Dance under the guidance of his father ,Dharanidhar Dev Goswami and also from Gopiram Borbayan and Badula Bayan.In 1961 ,he learned Manipuri Dance from Guru Haubam Atamba Singha and Lok Dance from Gajen Barua. Jatin Goswami got a role as a Satriya Dancer in Dr.Bhupen Hazarika's film "Chikmik Bijuli" .In 2004 , Jatin Goswami acted in Manju Bora's film "Laaj". Some of the dance related books written by Jatin Goswami are "Shankari Nritya Mati Aakhra", "Nritya Paribashik Sabd Sangya", " Nrityar Prathmik Hasta Parichay" and "Sonar Padum".
