Assam is situated in the north-eastern region of India. It is a land full of natural beauty. A chain of hills adorns Assam and two main rivers, the Barak and the Brahmaputra, flow through her with their tributaries. Lakes and ponds reflect the changing, colors of the sky. The fields with their different shades of green soothe and refresh the minds of the people.

With the change of seasons the beauty of Assam too undergoes changes. Variety of flowers bloom and pour a sweet scent to the air, different birds too fill the air with their own music, butterflies and bees flutter from flower to flower sipping neater. Showers of rain, from time to time, bathe Assam and keep her fresh, green and soothing.

The forest of Assam have a different beauty with their tall trees, shrubs and bushes. But the people have scarred the beauty of Assam with their thought less activities. Forests are cleared hills are cut for human habit. If this continues Assam will loose her natural beauty and become a concrete jungle.
