Yes, and it is even broadcast outside Assam. I stay in Bangalore and watch News Live regularly specially on Saturdays and Sundays. Assamese movies are telecast every Saturday and Sunday.

"Development in Assam"
After staying for for more than 10 years outside Assam, I realised certain things which I would like to share and also would like to appeal to the newly formed Assam Governement that now the time has come for a steep growth.
When we are enriched with resources all around, why can't we compete to our best and revert our "Hunor asom".
It is a kind and humble request to Assam government to look into IT (Information Technology) sector which is growing exponentially all over world and specifically India. IT has the capability to generate lakhs and lakhs of job opportunities to youngstars and simulatneously benefitted all other sectors.
I have been working in IT for more than 5 years in various cities and realised that IT sector can really change one's lifestyle. We typically cannot afford to be named as underdeveloped state anymore.
Let's light this up, I am always proud to be an assamese and now we are ready for a huge change.
