Combined Competitive Examination is the examination conducted by the Assam Public Service Commission for recruitment in various posts to the Civil Services in the state. There are two stages of written examination of Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) i.e. Preliminary Examination (Prelims) & the Mains Examination.
In the Preliminary Examination all the questions of the examination are of multiple choice objective types and in the Mains Examination the questions of the Examination will be conventional essay type.

Combined Entrance Examination (CEE) Dibrugarh University is held for the candidates for Assam only for admission into MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BE & B.Tech courses in various colleges in Assam i.e. Engineering in Jorhat Engineering college and Assam Engineering College and Admission into Medical in Assam Medical College and Guwahati Medical College. For admission into the various Private Engineering and Medical Institute the students have to attend the CEE Entrance examination.
