New admissions will happen in the H.S. course of all colleges of Assam.

A good news for the students of Assam. This year, after passing the H.S.L.C. examination the students will be able to take admission in the H.S. Course of various good colleges of Assam. In the previous year when the semester system was applied for the first time, the colleges of Assam had stopped admission or lowered the number of seats in the H.S. 1st year course. As a result, the students were unable to take admission in various colleges except Cotton College. It was not possible for all to take admission in Cotton College so they had to go to the newly appeared junior colleges. But, this year Education Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma has ordered all the colleges to open admission in the H.S. course. He also declared that he will appoint 2,000 new college teachers. Every year, about 1.90 lakhs students pass the H.S.L.C. examination, while, only 1.21 lakhs seats are available in the colleges or H.S. Schools for the 1st year. So, the announcement made previous year created trouble for all. The new announcement is surely giving them relief.
