National Conference on Laser and Optical Science (NCLAOS-2010) is scheduled to be held during 11-13 October, 2010 at DHSK College, Dibrugarh, Assam organized by Department of Physics, DHSK College, Dibrugarh-786001 (Assam) in Collaboration with Society for Laser and Optical Science, Dibrugarh.
Objectives of the Conference:
1. To provide exposure to the recent developments and advances in the field of Laser Spectroscopy and Optical Science.
2. To provide a platform for Scientists and Researchers to present their findings.
3. To promote a healthy competition among young researchers to bring out their skills and competencies.
4. To debate on the relevance of lasers and optical science in various other fields of science and technology.
5. To promote an environment conducive for research finding into plan for industrial growth and nation build.

3. Atomic and Molecular Physics in high Intense Field
4. Ultra-fast Phenomena
5. Nonlinear optics and spectroscopy

10.Laser in Industry and other related topics
Call for Papers:
Organization Committee invites delegates to submit papers for presentation. The paper will be published only if the author is registered. Authors are requested to send abstract to Email: nclaos@rediffmail.com
About the Venue / How to reach:
The Conference shall be held in the campus of DHSK College situated in the Dibrugarh city. The DHSK College, a pioneer institute of higher education in upper Assam which was established in the year 1945. The city is well connected by Road, Railway and Air. The temperature in Dibrugarh during month of October varies from 26 Degree Celsius during midday to 20 Degree Celsius and is pleasant.
Accommodation:
Participants registered by 30.08.2010 can avail free of cost accommodation from 11th October to 13th October. For availing arranged accommodation participants may contract the organizing authority and otherwise may take affordable accommodation in Hotels available in the city.

General Delegates - Rs.500
Students/Research Scholars - Rs.300
Delegates from Public Sector – Rs.1500

Dayawati Rastogi Award:
Two awards – one fro the author of the best poster and other is to the paper presenter. Each award consists of Rs.2000/- cash along with a certificate.
