College of Veterinary Science is an integral part of the Assam Agricultural University. It was established in the year 1948 at Nagaon and became constituent college of Assam Agricultural University in 1969.
The College of Veterinary Science is located at Khanapara and can be reached via National Highway number 37. It is at a distance of about 14kms east of the Guwahati Railway Station, 30kms from the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Borjhar and 3kms from Dispur(the Capital of Assam).
